Label editor

With the add label tool you can add one or several labels to a bunch of pages in one action. You have three options for the pages the label(s) shall be added:

• Add label(s) to all pages in the space

• Add label(s) to all child pages of selected parent pages

• Add label(s) to individually selected pages

How it can be used

1. Select the apply to option for adding the label(s)

Please note that you can only select pages in the select list

• which are in the space where you accessed the toolbox

• which you can see and have access to

• which have child pages

If you select the “Include selected parent page(s)” checkbox below, also the selected parent pages will be included for adding the labels.

2. Type in the label(s) you want to add. You can either insert one label, or several labels separated by spaces. Please note that spaces are not allowed within labels in Confluence Cloud. Therefore, inserted spaces will be considered as separation of labels. As an example, if you insert “test label”, the labels “test” and “label” will be added (see picture below).

Preview

If you selected “All pages in space” or “Pages I select” as apply to option, the preview is displayed instantly below after you inserted the labels in the label(s) to add field.

For the child pages option, you have to click on the preview button to generate the preview. The reason is that those child pages need to be fetched based on the selected parent pages to show the preview.

3. Click on the Submit button

You will see a progress bar and the list of pages where labels have been added below. You can quickly navigate to those pages by clicking on the respective link. The green check icon shows you that the labels have been successfully added.
