FAQs (from Atlassian)

Who can purchase Atlassian Government Cloud?

Because Atlassian Government Cloud is a Government Community Cloud, the purchase and adoption of this offering is restricted to US government agencies, or organizations that work with the US government and will use the environment for government-related work. Please contact us if you would like to confirm your eligibility.

How much does Atlassian Government Cloud cost?

Atlassian Government Cloud is 25% more expensive than our Cloud Enterprise plan, since it offers much of the same functionality as Cloud Enterprise - like Atlassian Analytics and support for multiple sites - plus the assurance that the FedRAMP Moderate controls and requirements are met. Please contact us for specific pricing information.

What user tiers are available for Atlassian Government Cloud?

User tiers for Jira and Confluence on Atlassian Government Cloud start at 201+ users. User tiers for Jira Service Management on Atlassian Government Cloud start at 26+ agents.

I am currently using commercial Atlassian Cloud apps. Will I get FedRAMP Moderate compliance?

No, commercial Atlassian Cloud apps are not FedRAMP Moderate compliant. Atlassian Government Cloud is built in a separate environment from our commercial cloud apps. If you are using one of these apps and subscribe to any of our commercial cloud plans today (e.g. Standard, Premium, Enterprise), you will have to migrate your data to Atlassian Government Cloud to get FedRAMP Moderate compliance.

Can we migrate our organization’s data from Atlassian Data Center or Atlassian Cloud to Atlassian Government Cloud?

Yes, migration tooling for Data Center to Atlassian Government Cloud and Atlassian (commercial) Cloud to Atlassian Government Cloud migrations is available. Please contact ushttps://marketplace.fedramp.gov/products/FR2412062433 if you’re interested in migrating, so we can support you through the process.

Do you have plans to offer FedRAMP High or IL5?

Yes, we are committed to supporting US government customers' transition to cloud and will have FedRAMP High and Impact Level 5 environments built and ready to be submitted for authorization prior to the end of life for Data Center.

We will share more details about our development timelines soon; keep an eye on our roadmap.
